一天，体育老师发布了一个消息，下周进行跳绳测试，100个及格，140个以上优秀。其他同学呼了都欢笑起来，唯独我垂头丧气，这个消息对于我来说，简直是一个晴天霹雳：100个才及格！我平时跳绳的最高纪录才76个。怎么办呢？我曾经想过放弃，又想过尝试，但我还是没信心。这时，我忽然想起了一位企业家，他在一次展览会的抽签中，抽到了一个角落的展位，但他并没有放弃，因为他坚信：“机会只留给有准备的人！”于是，他精心策划了一番，结果让人难以置信：原来无人问津的角落竟然变成了人头攒动的黄金地带。这时我便有了动力，也坚定了信心。“塞翁失马，焉知非福？”现在我不能及格，并不代表我以后也不及格！只要肯努力，我相信，一定能成功！
于是，在放假期间，我坚持每天早上6点钟起床，让爸爸带我到体育馆去锻炼并练习跳绳，几轮跳下来，豆大的汗珠从我的脸上流下来，两条腿像灌了铅一般，我多么想休息一会儿啊！这时，我的脑海里月一种声音在激励着我：机会只留给有准备的人，张议文，加油！坚持就是服利！刹那间，我感觉就象有一只无形的手在背后推动着我，全身上下的力量又迸发出来了，我用手快速地甩着绳子，脚尖刚碰到地马上就跳起来。
我连续练习了8天，经过我的不懈努力，终于有了显著的进步，我一口气能跳50下，一分钟能跳119下，看来我有希望及格了。想到这，我一蹦三尺高，心里比吃了蜜还甜！这更证实了爸爸的那句话：“经过量的积累，就会达到质的`飞跃。”刚练习的第一天，我还不理解这句话的意思，现在我终于明白了。
测试的日子到了，我信心十足地来到操场，幸运之神仿佛特别眷顾我，测试那天，我不但及格了，而且优秀的名字里也有我！原来比我跳得好的人才刚刚及格。我连自己都不敢相信，我竟然超常发挥了，一口气连跳了112下，一分钟跳了148下，这是我有史以来的最好成绩！同学们纷纷跑过来问我：“张议文，你跳了148下？”“是的。”我兴奋地回答。“太厉害了！”“张议文，真的吗？你真的跳了那么多？”“真不可思议！”“天啊，让人难以置信！”我的努力终于有“回报”了，我这个体育差生竟然夺得了全班的“铜牌”，当同学们向我投来羡慕的、赞叹的、惊讶的……目光时，我的心里洋溢着那种成功后的喜悦！

why does such a phenomenon emerge? as far as im concerned, there are possibly two reasons contributing to this phenomenon. on the one hand, exam-oriented education makes many schools lay emphasis on passing the english exams, which leads to the lack of speaking environment for students to practice their spoken english. on the other hand, students themselves dont realize the importance of the ability to speak english which has a great influence on their future
study and career development.
to change this situation, i think, we can take the following measures. first, the importance of oral english should be emphasized to raise students awareness of the necessity of speaking english. second, exams should be modified to make students pay attention to their spoken english. third, schools can organize various activities to arouse students interest in speaking english.

today， the movies and internet around children have too many things about violence and sex. as a result， though we have tried all means to let children know only what they should know，children have known as much as adults. according to statistics，the underage crime rate is rising at a surprising speed. in addition， because laws in some places prohibit underage girls to have abortion without permissions from parents， the increasing number of unmarried mothers is also a worrying phenomenon.
some surveys show that most 14 to 15 year old children think they are already grown ups， and are eager to behave in their own ways. but the adults' society doesn't think so. consequently， misunderstandings and quarrels between children and their parents and teachers have never stopped.
since we cannot change children， we can change our law. we should allow children over 15 to make decisions about their lives without the interference of their parents or teachers， and let them assume the responsibility for their own behaviors. maybe in this way， the world would be more peaceful.

鲁班，是我国古代伟大的发明家。他在一次上山砍树木时，被一种野草划破了手，鲜血直流。他摘下叶片轻轻一摸，原来叶子两边长着锋利的齿。于是，作为从事木工工作的鲁班便想：要是这样齿状的工具，不是也能很快地锯断树木了吗?回到家后，经过认真研究，多次试验，他终于发明了锋利的锯子。
而牛顿也是同样。他出生在英格兰一个普通的农民家庭中。有一天，小牛顿在树下看书，一个熟透了的苹果掉了下来，正好砸中了他的脑袋。他呆呆地望着苹果，疑惑不解：苹果为什么会掉下来?它为什么不飞到天上去?这肯定是有什么力量在牵引着它。后来，在苹果落地的启发下，喜爱思考的牛顿通过认真钻研，反复试验，终于发现了万有引力。
