过春节时，我最喜欢的便是吃团年饭。
到了晚上，我们家就要吃团年饭了，远方的亲人都会赶回来，一家团聚。厨房里外婆、奶奶、姨妈、妈妈忙活着，菜香从门缝里逃了出来，涌进我的鼻子里，这时，我的肚子已经敲打着“饿”的时钟了！哎，什么时候开饭啊？会做些什么好吃的呢？
等了好久，一大桌香喷喷的菜终于上齐了，我恨不得一下就飞过去，但是，可恶的爸爸把我拦住了。还说什么要先让过世的亲人吃，只见他盛了几碗饭，他拿来纸钱在桌子下点着，嘴里还念念有词，请过世的亲人都来吃。
终于开饭了，我目不转睛地盯着桌子中间的一盘披着黄金甲的红烧鱼，口水都差点流到我的碗里了！我正伸手要去夹，又被爸爸拦住了。我嘴里哼哼道“为什么不让我吃鱼！”爸爸哈哈大笑道：“因为中间这条鱼是‘看鱼’不能吃，它的寓意是‘年年有鱼’。”原来还有这个说法呀！
就算不能吃鱼也有一大桌子的菜呢！白白的、滑滑的年糕、香香脆脆的土豆片、被红汁包围的红烧肉、油而不腻的猪肉、白嫩的豆腐……我恨不得把它们全塞到我的嘴里。
以前我还小，不懂得过年的寓意，不过我现在已经明白了。过年是要一家团聚，红红火火，热热闹闹的，是准备要迎接新的一年！
