亲爱的观众朋友们，我今天演讲的题目是《信仰下的人生》。
我总是在回望自己过去的时候想起关于人生的一切，多少个夜晚难以入睡。
苦苦的冥想中所得到的结果是我对人生的恐惧。
亲爱的观众朋友们，我想，当我们把一个人的生命作60岁计算的话，而现今的我们有的刚好过了20岁，有的刚好20岁，有的离20岁多不远，也就是说我们的生命已经刚好过了三分之一，那么在这三分之一的生命里，我们对自己的亲人，对自己的朋友，甚至整个社会付出了多少呢，对于我们余下的三分之二生命又将如何去过呢？
记得幼时我常常在长江边上奔跑，咆哮的水流从震颤的大地上翻滚而过，耳边是迅疾的风声，我突然感到脚下有一股无形的力量，而这种力量竟然一直支持着我，融进了我的血液。
多少年后，我才明白过来，那种力量竟是由于我感化于长江磅礴的气势而根植于内心深处的信仰，那是对人生一种蓬勃发展的'渴求，对于强大生命力的一种真实向往。
我一直在探求人生与信仰的纽带，如同一种精神图腾的回归。
信仰所赋予人类无穷的力量，去创造和发掘属于人生内部的神秘感应。
信仰是华夏文明与世间真、善、美最有力的证明。
人们的敬畏化成它所能代表的一切高尚品质和超越自我的一个又一个神话！
信仰，对于我最早的接触是徐志摩的诗集，徐志摩穷尽其一生追求单纯的信仰：爱、自由、美。
而今天在这里，我要沿着志摩先生未走完的路，将其信仰进一步地深化：是博爱，是自由，是完美。
博爱即爱于亲人，爱于朋友，爱于社会；自由即物质上、思想上永恒的自由；完美即从知识上、从能力上、从思想上、从道德上完美自我，并在自我完美的同时，去影响他人，让别人也变得更加完美！
人生是无法脱离信仰的保证，因为人生的起伏所带来的巨大的伤害，惟有信仰才能根治，才能给世间所有奋斗中的灵魂带来最大的精神安慰！

its a great honor for me to stand here to deliver a speech to you. then today i want to talk something about dreams and reality.
as the famous russian litterateur lev tolstoy said, “ideal is the beacon. without ideal, there is no secure direction; without a direction, there is no life.” so there’s no doubt that everyone needs his or her own ideal. have you ever thought that what is practical and sensible will connect with our most treasured dreams? maybe, to somebody, reality has little relation to ideal. to others nothing can be done without the sense of reality. so make our dreams a part of our reality. and make our reality a part of our dreams. there is no reason why our dreams must oppose our reality. improve our dreams and our reality by bringing them together.
as a university student, establishing a dream is one of the most important things we have to do .but everyone must see the reality clearly at first. your family condition, your personal ability, your social intercourse , your subject and the job you want to do, these things show you the reality and lead you to establish a dream.
further more, difficult or otherwise, we should put the power of reality into our dreams. last but not least remember to work hard at the task of chasing our dreams. do believe that we can achieve our ideal step by step by the passage of time!

on january 29th, the first day of the chinese year, grandma took me to the yade buddha temple to pray for being able to have a lucky year.
the whole city was dipped in warm light, when we arrived. god! i hardly made out this temple because the whole block was filled with people. we could move our feet just a little at a time. now you may have the idea how many people there were. but it was amazing that the crowd was so quiet. worshippers, one by one, seriously knelt down before the statue of the buddha. i thought that i hadn’t done anything as earnestly as them when i saw those worshippers praying so devoutly. everyone kept quiet, closed his eyes. i seemed like that there was only him in this world. i was shocked. from them, i felt the strength of belief. i learnt that not only the belief of the buddhism, but also the beliefs of all the beautiful things can enable us to be successful. once we get our belief, the eternal spirit shall help us overcome all the difficulties we might meet with.
i raised my head and saw the buddha smiling to me so mystically.

自信的人生是永远不会被社会击败的，除了他自己最后精疲力竭，无力拼搏。
自信是人生成功的奠基石，人的成功之路必须踏着自信的石阶步步登高。有了自信，人才能达到自己所期望达到的境界，才能成为自己所希望成为的人，坚持自己所追求的信仰。无论在什么情况下，自信者的都是：“我想我能够的，现在不能够，以后一定会能够的!”
自信不仅能改变周围的环境，还能改变自信者自己。
比如，有这么一个典型的例子：一位心理学家从一班大字生中挑选出一个最愚笨、最不招人喜欢的姑娘，并要求她的同学们改变以往对她的看法。在一个风口丽的日子里，大家都争先恐后地照顾这位姑娘，向她献殷勤，陪她回家，大家以假作真地打心里认定她是位漂亮聪慧的'姑娘。结果怎么样呢?不到一年，这位姑娘出落得很好，连她的举止也同前判若两人。她聪明地对人们说：她获得了新生。确实，她并没有变成另一个人--然而在她身上却展现出每一个人都蕴藏的潜质，这种美只有在我们自己相信自己，周围的所有人也都相信我们、爱护我们的时候才会展现出来。
可见，自信能够创造奇迹。
但是，自信并不是天生的，也不是任何人都具备的。很多人自信心是很低的，特别经过一番生活折腾，尝到一些生活的苦辣酸甜，有人就自惭形秽起来。还有的人竟然学会如何自己贬低自己，以此来预防生活的失败，他们认为，自信是一种危险的品质，人越自信，就越容易碰钉子，越容易成为众矢之的，所以最好是夹着尾巴过日子。
还有的人，从小就失去了自信，因为大人们总是这样训斥他们：“瞧，你这个笨蛋，傻瓜，窝囊废，将来顶多是个扫大街的!”久而久之，他也就真的认同了这些话，以后稍微碰上个小失败，他就会这样宽慰自己：“反正我从小就是一个笨蛋和窝囊废，怎么能异想天开呢?”

it seems to me a very difficult thing to put into words the beliefs we hold and what they make you do in your life. i think i was fortunate because i grew up in a family where there was a very deep religious feeling. i don’t think it was spoken of a great deal. it was more or less taken for granted that everybody held certain beliefs and needed certain reinforcements of their own strength and that came through your belief in god and your knowledge of prayer.
but as i grew older i questioned a great many of the things that i knew very well my grandmother who had brought me up had taken for granted. and i think i might have been quite a difficult person to live with if it hadn’t been for the fact that my husband once said it didn’t do you any harm to learn those things, so why not let your children learn them? when they grow up they’ll think things out for themselves.and that gave me a feeling that perhaps that’s what we all must do—think out for ourselves what we could believe and how we could live by it. and so i came to the conclusion that you had to use this life to develop the very best that you could develop.
i don’t know whether i believe in a future life. i believe that all that you go through here must have some value, therefore there must be some reason. and there must be some “going on”. how exactly that happens i’ve never been able to decide. there is a future—that i’m sure of. but how, that i don’t know. and i came to feel that it didn’t really matter very much because whatever the future held you’d have to face it when you came to it, just as whatever life holds you have to face it in exactly the same way. and the important thing was that you never let down doing the best that you were able to do—it might be poor because you might not have very much within you to give, or to help other people with, or to live your life with. but as long as you did the very best that you were able to do, then that was what you were put here to do and that was what you were accomplishing by being here.and so i have tried to follow that out—and not to worry about the future or what was going to happen. i think i am pretty much of a fatalist. you have to accept whatever comes and the only important thing is that you meet it with courage and with the best that you have to give.
